CORONACHRISTMAS 2020/How Europe is handling Covid-19

The winter holidays are upon us, but this year, the pandemic has made family gatherings more difficult and potentially unsafe. It’s the most wonderful time of the year. However, this holiday season, some of the magic has been compromised by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In Spain, family and social gatherings will continue to be limited to a maximum of six people who are not living together and always with measures and being cautious. On the other hand, parties and meetings of more than 10 people will not be allowed, and the curfew will be wider. It will be prohibited to go out after 1 a.m.

In Greece , people should celebrate with up to 9 people at home and until 22:00 p.m. this Christmas.

The French government recommended that Christmas and New Year’s Eve gatherings be limited to a maximum of six adults – with no limit on children – due to the pandemic.

Italy will be in a nationwide lockdown over much of the Christmas and New Year period. The rules will allow a maximum of two guests, not including people under the age of 14, per household.
